Nike Terminator TZ (UENO VS HARAJUKU)

Following up from last year’s East/West Rivalry pack,
Nike’s battle for sneaker supremacy hits Japan with two of Tokyo’s most famed fashion districts squaring off with a smoking pair of Premium Terminators. The Harajuku vs Ueno pack gives a nod to the 90s style boom that swept through the sleepy streets of Harajuku and the underground boom in American fashion that erupted in Ueno during the US postwar occupation.
Ueno was notorious as a blackmarket where US service clothing and military supplies could be swiped for a song. In honor of this tradition, the Ueno Terminator features a checkered heel design that mirrors the woven badge decorations found on the left breast of a military jacket. The removable heel patches are affixed with velcro in another nod to utilitarian military apparel, and the letters ‘AMYK’ refer to the bustling Amyoko street market which continues to thrive to this day.
The Harajuku Terminator is a sleeker beast, featuring a green glow-in-the-dark midsole and piping that captures the innovative and out-there spirit of this world famous designer hub. The ‘CTST’ heel patch refers to the famed Cat St shopping destination that runs through the district. Each of these Japanese releases are available from
 Mita Sneakers.
